Inspiration – Azuma Makoto

Azuma is a Japanese florist/artist who creates amazing works using flowers, bonsai and moss. His striking creations themselves are inspirational, but I particularly like his aesthetic and use of light and texture – rich and vivid colours against raw Tadao Ando-style concrete. His sites got a great visual design, but you have to poke around a lot to get down through all the layers.

Learning Cinema 4D

Something I’ve been working on recently is a spot of self-study for Cinema 4D. I’ve dealt with it before where clients have been using it as their main platform, but I thought it was about time I’d sit down and try and nail the basics. So far it does seem to have a great interface. Above is a WIP shot of a familiar object which has a good combination of shapes to practice on!
